Welcome to Oikosmist. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Oikosmist.com website and tools (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
Oikosmist is a free online tool that lets you download publicly available Facebook videos and Facebook Reels for personal, lawful use. The Service retrieves a public media file at your request; we do not host, store, or maintain a library of videos, and we do not upload content on your behalf.
2. Eligibility and acceptable use
You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract under applicable law, and only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. You agree to use Oikosmist strictly to download videos that you own, that you have explicit permission to download, or that you are otherwise legally allowed to access and save.
You agree that you will not:

- attempt to access private, friends-only, login-protected, paid, or DRM-protected content, or bypass any technical protection measure;
- use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purpose;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by sending excessive automated requests, scraping, or attempting to overload our infrastructure;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written permission.
3. Intellectual property and third-party content
Oikosmist does not claim ownership of any video you download. All videos, trademarks, logos, and brand names belong to their respective owners. Oikosmist is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Facebook or Meta Platforms, Inc. You alone are responsible for how you use any content you download through the Service.
4. Copyright and DMCA
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content was made available through the Service in a way that infringes your rights, please contact us so we can respond appropriately. Details are available on our DMCA page.
5. Advertising
The Service may display third-party advertisements, including ads served by Google. Your interactions with advertisers and the data collected by advertising networks are described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that every video can be downloaded, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the results will meet your expectations.
